In a report prepared earlier this month, the Department of Homeland Security issued warnings on potential threats from “rightwing extremists” that are so general and broad in their definition, they can only be viewed as politically motivated. They cast such a wide net against anything that is blatantly not in line with the Democrat party, that it now appears as if Obama will use any means necessary to make criminal any opposition to his party’s views and objectives. This isn’t just unconstitutional, it is downright reckless and irresponsible!
A footnote on page two of the report singles out “groups and individuals that are dedicated to a single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration.” So if you are pro-life you are viewed as a threat by our government. If you are an American citizen who is concerned about immigration issues, you are viewed as someone who is potentially dangerous! These are not wacky fringe issues. These have been, and remain mainstream concerns in our society. I myself remember debating these issues in High School political classes. At least half of the hardworking, patriotic, taxpaying Americans fall into just these two categories. Of course, only those of us who don’t agree with the far left’s view on these issues are now seen as troublemakers. It would be bad enough if these were the only groups included, but it gets even worse.
The report goes on to name veterans as other examples of right wing extremists. So if you have served this country honorably by wearing the uniform of our military, you are now seen as a threat by the current administration. Of course during his presidential campaign Barack Obama stated that the military is not enough. In July of 2008, Obama said, “We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives we’ve set. We’ve got to have a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded.” That is a very chilling statement! Just as well funded as the U.S. military? What will their objective be exactly? I guess if you are going to demonize at least half of your citizens, you would need a huge army of informants just as Adolf Hitler used to rat out their own neighbors and have them dragged off in the middle of the night by the SS.
On pages three and four the report states, “Many rightwing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms.” So if you don’t agree with the current administrations views on some or all of these issues, you are now “antagonistic.” This should come as no surprise as one of the most vocal of the current leftist regime in Washington, Nancy Pelosi, recently called our own immigration agents “un-American” while she was speaking in San Francisco. Here are a group of people who do their job everyday to protect our nation, conducting raids to search for fraudulent documentation, and she stabs them in the back while praising illegal immigrants in this nation, telling them they are “very, very, patriotic!” I have no problem with immigrants, nor do our immigration agents. It’s the key word “illegal” that is troublesome.
There are many references throughout the report to those who believe the right to bear arms as guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment as people who are seen as a threat by the Department of Homeland Security. Thomas Jefferson wrote, “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” – Thomas Jefferson, 1 Thomas Jefferson Papers, 334
I guess if he were alive today, Thomas Jefferson would be at the top of DHS’s list of “rightwing extremists.” I don’t think even he could have imagined this kind of looming tyranny in our own nation. I’m sure our founding fathers are spinning in their graves. You can read the report which I have provided as a link at the bottom of this article. If you go through the entire report issued by Homeland Security, you can see just how many people in this nation’s history would be labeled “rightwing extremists” by the current administration. At least 75% of this nation’s previous Presidents would fit DHS’s profile. Also, almost all of this nation’s founding fathers would be viewed as a problem according to this report.
Obviously all Christians, who believe in the sanctity of human life and are pro-life are detested by this administration. If you are a veteran of the armed forces, you too are a problem. In fact this isn’t the first time the Obama administration has managed to smite our vets. In only a couple of months he has now managed to do it twice. The first time came when he told them they should get their own healthcare, and government shouldn’t continue to pay for the medical treatment of their injuries suffered in combat. Also, for the hundreds of thousands of people who recently showed up to the TEA party rallies, you too are included in the scrutiny of Homeland Security. Apparently if you are frightened about the unprecedented amount of debt that Obama has managed to rack up so far, you are not viewed as an American with the right to “peaceably assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” No my friend, you are a “rightwing extremist!”
Come to think of it, with all of the media coverage of the over 3000 TEA party rallies, I have not heard one report of them not being peaceable. Not one confrontation with police. No arrests. I’ve not seen one photograph of any police department across this nation dressed in riot gear to keep an unruly crowd under control. Those images are common place with radical left protests.
This report by the Department of Homeland Security is alarming to say the least. The DHS is the third largest cabinet position in this nation. Obama appointee Janet Napolitano, who is the new Secretary of Homeland Security, has attempted to gloss over it, barely offering an apology, and only to veterans at that. Apparently this administration would rather shake hands with the likes of Hugo Chavez, and reach out to Iran’s Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, both who are responsible for funding terrorist organizations, and calling the United States the great Satan. This should come as no surprise. During the elections it became abundantly clear that Obama had past associations with terrorists like Bill Ayers, and spent twenty years listening to the sermons of a radical preacher who liked to say things like “the U.S.-KKK-A.” and “God damn America!” This is campus radicalism on steroids, and it has now infected our government. Barack Obama would rather go overseas and apologize for America instead of representing her proudly as Reagan did.
Apparently al-Queda and the Taliban are not the problem, our veterans and this nation’s population who hold to Judeo-Christian values are. I’m afraid the nation our founders framed in Philadelphia won’t survive the Obama administration, while simultaneously having to endure his full support from the extreme left in Congress and the Senate. In just the few short months since his inauguration, we have seen many quick moves that seek only to criminalize and disenfranchise everyone in this nation who do not subscribe to the far left views of those currently in power. In just a little over two months he has put America more in debt than all of our previous Presidents combined! This is not the America our founding fathers created, but it will be the perverted version you get when those currently elected take away all of our rights, and declare war on the very people this government was instituted to protect, and to whom it is supposed to answer.
