It’s causing quite a stir, and keeping people awake at night. Some are fearful, some are confused, and many are downright angry. It’s the government’s universal healthcare plan that promises to transform America like no other single piece of legislation before. So what is all the commotion about? It’s time to examine HR 3200, more commonly known as America’s Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009, and bring clarity by looking directly at the changes that are written in the pages of this legislation.

Woodrow Wilson said, “A nation which does not remember what it was yesterday, does not know what it is today, nor what it is trying to do. We are trying to do a futile thing if we do not know where we came from or what we have been about.”

The reason for the anger so many Americans have towards this proposed legislation can be found in the statement above. Those Americans know exactly who we are, and what this nation has been about since the day our founders framed our Cons b68 titution. However, many Americans, for varied reasons, either haven’t learned our true history, or want to completely throw it away and replace it with a new form of government. If this legislation was really about getting costs under control and making health care more accessible to more Americans, then I doubt anyone would be really upset. That can be accomplished with regulations passed into law without the government taking over the health care industry and operating health care plans. The government should stick to its job. So let us take a look at what exactly is written in this legislation.

Section 113 of the bill calls for a study of employer health care plans and a report to be submitted to Congress and “appropriate agencies.” This section states, “Such report shall include any recommendations the Commissioner deems appropriate to ensure that the law does not provide incentives for small and mid-size employers to self-insure.” So much for the word “choices” in the name of the legislation.

Section 122 is titled Essential Benefits Package Defined. It lays out the government vision of what benefits a created bureaucracy thinks you should have. In short, your healthcare will be rationed. It goes on to say in Section 123 that a government committee will decide what benefits you actually get, not what treatment your doctor deems necessary.

Section 163 and the sub section 1173a underneath it is long, but it gives the government real-time access to individuals’ finances, sets up automated transaction from your bank account and issues a National Health Care Card. Once on this plan the government will have direct access to your bank accounts!

Section 201 gives the government authority to create a Health Care Exchange to bring private plans under government control. Once that happens, private plans in the exchange will have the benefits packages they offer dictated to them by the government according to section 203.

Section 205 will eliminate any choice you have to enroll in Medicaid. Eligible individuals will automatically be enrolled. Period. You have zero freedom to choose.

In this nation a monopoly of any industry is illegal, that is, unless you are the government. Section 223 says no company can sue the government for price-fixing. No “administrative of judicial review” against a government monopoly. Gee if we have real competitive choices, as promised by the President, why would we need that provision in this bill?

Section 312 tells all employers that they must auto-enroll all employees into the public option plan. No choice of benefits, just the government rationed one. All employers who do not enroll in the public option will pay a 2% to 8% tax to the government on their payroll! You can bet that now even more companies will transfer jobs overseas, perhaps their entire operation, leaving even f b68 ewer jobs for Americans. What’s more, it says in Section 401 that any individual who the government deems does not have “acceptable healthcare” will personally be taxed 2.5% of their income!

If you are not shooting flames from your eyes yet, just wait it gets even more disgusting. Section 401 also says that any Non Resident Alien is exempt from individual taxes, so you the voting taxpayer will graciously be paying for their free ride! Remember, Nancy Pelosi loves this plan. She is the same Nancy Pelosi who in March told illegal immigrants in San Francisco that they were patriotic and our immigration officers were un-American.

Section 1121 states that the government will limit and reduce physician services for Medicaid. Sorry seniors. If you are elderly, you are just too much of a burden. In fact section 1233 mandates end of life counseling and says that the government will instruct and consult on all living wills and power of attorneys! This section also gives the government the authority to provide people with an approved list of end of life resources, guiding you into death. This section continues on to mandate programs for life sustaining treatment. The government will dictate how your life will end. In fact, this section gives the government authority to specify which medical professionals can issue an end-of-life order!

Folks, I am not reading from a science fiction novel about the future. This is actually the bill that this administration is twisting arms to rush through. Of course we know that those in power in Washington already feel that too many Americans are out of shape, and that our elderly are too much of a burden. Perhaps after guiding them in death, they will cart off our elderly to make Soylent Green.

Section 440 creates and implements a Home Visitation Program for all families with young children or who are expecting children, and Section 1904 tells us what this program is designed to do. The government will now come into your home and tell you how to parent. To move us completely into the age of Big Brother and move us one step closer to “the mark,” Section 2521 establishes a National Medical Device Registry so you can be tracked. You will now be fitted with personal Lo-Jack.

In Section 1713 we learn that couples will receive counseling as to proper “intervals between pregnancies.” Now the government will tell you when you can have children. Actually the section reads, “Improving maternal or child health and pregnancy outcomes or increasing birth intervals between pregnancies.” Outcomes? That’s right, you guessed it – government mandated abortions! Half of this nation’s population is opposed to abortion as a practice. It is deplorable that they will use your tax dollars to mandate funding for abortion. So if you haven’t had b68 enough of an “interval” between pregnancies according to a Washington bureaucrat, the government will now direct you to have an abortion! Where is the freedom of choice in the “Affordable Health Choices Act?”

This bill is over 1000 pages, and there are many more evils and violations of the rights our founders envisioned for all of us. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Understandably, Americans are completely outraged and rightfully so. Our founding documents that dictate rights to the government, forbid this kind of government control over our lives. Now the extreme radicals in Washington want to completely ignore those documents, and dictate your rights back to you. In plain English, that is against the law! It is treason, and a major usurpation of power and flagrant abuse of our rights.

To demonstrate just how out of touch Washington politicians are, they are now claiming that our outrage is false, staged, and paid for by some special interest group. This goes far beyond a debate between Republican and Democrat. This is about what it is to be American. Can anything be more American then the people telling their politicians that they are not happy with the direction in which they are moving?

Barbara Boxer (D) California, said on MSNBC that she knows the people who are vocalizing outrage over this issue are fakes because they are dressed to nicely. I saw people in t-shirts and baseball caps. I don’t really know who she is referring to. Besides, what kind of moronic statement is that? I wear a suit and tie to work everyday. Does that preclude me from having an opinion?

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D) Nevada, spoke out against what he described as “the loud, shrill voices trying to interrupt town-hall meetings.” The White House sent its spokesperson, Gibbs to tell the media that the debate is just “manufactured anger.” He also said, “I hope people will take a jaundiced eye to what is clearly the AstroTurf nature of so-called grass-roots lobbying.”

It is absolutely laughable that the White House and their proponents would be outraged about the very actions Barack Obama trained ACORN to do. Perhaps Obama doesn’t recognize true outrage because he spent all of those years manufacturing it himself as a community organizer. I suppose outrage is only good when it’s not organized against his perverted view of government’s role and proper place in this nation. This “transparent” president that has promised “a seat at the table” for all viewpoints dismisses ANY opposite point of view than his own. He despises any debate over his agenda.

I work with the public. Everyday I am confronted with people who are very disturbed by and afraid of what is happening, and I have news for the spin mongers in Washington; they are from all party affiliations! Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, and Independe 5b4 nts are all saying this has gone too far. The only people that are happy are those registered in the Communist Party.

Are we to believe that only the special interest groups and insurance companies are voting in all the polls? Every poll shows an ever increasing number of people who disapprove of this bill and Obama’s policies for this nation. His disapproval ratings are spiraling quickly out of control. Are the special interest groups, who are supposedly manufacturing this outrage, buying up all of the books on the New York Times Best Seller Non Fiction Lists? Topping those lists are “Liberty and Tyranny” by Mark Levin, “Glenn Beck’s Common Sense” by Glenn Beck, “Catastrophe” by Dick Morris, and debuting at number one next week, because of how many copies have already sold, will be Michelle Malkin’s “Culture of Corruption.” All of the mentioned books are against the extreme left’s position on current political events and national issues. They all serve as a warning to America as to where we are headed and headed fast.

It should also be mentioned while on the topic of the Best Seller List, that there is one book above all others in history that has outsold all others. Because of it’s success, no other book would have ever had a chance at number one had the New York Times not 5b4 removed it and placed it in a category all it’s own. That book is the Holy Bible.

All of this demonstrates one thing; it really is Americans of every demographic that are against this bill and this administration’s extreme, radical policies that are careening our nation headlong into socialism. By making the ridiculous accusations that the extreme left-wing is making, is to insult and degrade all Americans, including their own base of constituents. More centered Democrats will do well to heed the drumbeat of what is happening, or their political career will be yesterday’s news. Only the foolish would continue to cling to the Titanic as it goes down. If they continue to endorse this administration’s radical agenda, they are jeopardizing their own careers.

Americans will not sit idly by and watch the unlawful takeover of our private sector, intrusion into our private lives, and stripping of our rights. This healthcare bill is evil and criminal. The ideas set forth in its pages are the fulfillment of ideals that have festered in dark corners for a long time. Ideas of those like Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood.

While He was carrying His cross to His own crucifixion, Jesus was battered and beaten, loo 5b4 sing massive amounts of blood with each step, as He was just scourged by the Romans. He still was teaching, ministering to people, and giving people a glimpse of what was to come. In the Book of Luke we see the following passage:

What about Planned Parenthood today? Do they still adhere to these insane attitudes espoused by Ms. Sanger? Let us look at some more recent quotes from the organization and those who support it:

In Planned Parenthood’s 1985 “Annual Report” leaders of that organization proclaimed that they were, “Proud of our past, and planning for our future.”

Is this what the founders wanted for our nation? Is this the America they envisioned and built? Not by a long-shot! Listen to the very words of our founders listed below:

In fact, the 55 delegates to the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia in 1787, were members of various Christian denominations: 29 were Anglicans, 16 to 18 were Calvinists, 2 were Methodists, 2 were Lutherans, 2 were Roman Catholic, 1 lapsed Quaker and sometimes Anglican, and 1 open deist–Dr. Franklin who attended every kind of Christian worship, called for public prayer, and contributed to all denominations. The farthest thing from the minds of this group was to keep your faith out of politics. What they envisioned was finally keeping politics out of the church!

The policies and politics of those currently in power in Washington are the antithesis of everything our founders stood for, believed, and outlined in the Constitution; the very Constitution each of the politicians in Washington took an oath to uphold and protect. Our founders risked everything to bring about a nation blessed by God. They believed “governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed,” not dictating what rights and freedoms we have and don’t have. Theirs is the only job I can think of where the employees think they can get away with insulting, assaulting, and degrading their employers. Our nation has been entrusted to us, We the People. If we fail to hold our leaders accountable, then we deserve the nation we will inherit as a result, and we will have failed all of the previous generations that made America great, as well as our children. There is nothing more American and patriotic than to hold the politicians’ feet to the fire, and demand they operate from within their Constitutional mandate. It is our job to say, “This far, and no farther!” If we don’t, then America will be gone forever, and become nothing more than byline in history.

I’ll leave you with this – There was a time in our history when the people of this nation, and our troops marching into battle went forth with mission and purpose and with the following lyrics on their lips:

What the democrats are proposing is very scary and the people are starting to wake up. Over 47% of Americans did not vote for Obama but that doesn’t stop the democrats from believing they have a mandate from the public to takeover our lives.
